Operation of the proposed solution
New technologies can offer more opportunities for improvements and recovery: in particular this innovation is addressed to three stakeholders (patients, caregivers and doctors). The realisation of a collaborative adaptive walker with robotic technologies, which is able to provide stability for the user, corresponds to the improvement of the clinical eye of the therapist. These figures are connected by sharing a mixed-reality interface. AR visualizations can support therapists’ knowledge and direct them with their observations and evaluations throughout training and recovery.
Challenges
Scientific and mechanical issues.
1) Clinical validation of the walker and Shared Augmented Reality
2) For the walker, degrees of freedom of movement should be increased and impedance control
implemented
